WSP is appointed and working as the structural engineer for the iconic Nakheel Tower, announced on 5th October 2008 by Dubai developer, Nakheel. The Nakheel Tower, which will be over one kilometre in height, will stand at the core of the multi-billion dollar Nakheel Harbour & Tower development.WSP is also playing a major role in Meraas Development’s USD95 billion Jumeira Gardens scheme, Dubai’s first master planned Urban Regeneration Development, launched on the 6th October at the recent Cityscape exhibition.

Ferries plying along Dubai Creek are set to provide an alternative mode of transport helping ease the traffic congestions on city's roads.The Ferry Dubai project will be implemented with an outlay of USD 48.4 million and each ferry will be capable of carrying 100 passengers, it was revealed here on Tuesday.

The reconfiguration sees current Chief Operating Officer John Bullough become Chief Executive Officer. Current CEO Ronald Barrott becomes an advisor to the Chairman whilst remaining a member of the Board. Both appointments are with immediate effect. The Company has also announced that it is in the final stages of appointing a new Chief Operating Officer, with the appointment to be made within the current quarter.
