The quality of housing in Dubai has "a long way to go" before it reaches the building standards around the globe, according to local analysts."I think the quality of housing is certainly improving in Dubai but there is still some way to go before reaching the standards expected in the western world," said Matthew Green, research director at Cluttons UAE.

Architects who wish to enter a competition to create a tall emblem structure for Zabeel Park in Dubai must submit designs by August 31, Dubai Municipality has said.“So far 959 teams from 88 countries have submitted entries,” said Roxy Binno, an architect with the municipality. “And 31 teams from Dubai have submitted proposals.”
