By the end of this year, 19 new pedestrian bridges will be opened all over the emirate, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) officials have stated. With Dubai registering a large number of accidents involving pedestrians crossing streets, these bridges will help reduce fatalities, RTA officials said.
These pedestrian bridges will come up on different busy streets of Dubai and will be equipped with proper lighting, air-conditioning, escalators, and lifts for the convenience of the people.
